Syncrocap new capsule distributor



Thanks to an innovative mechatronic project – FEDS technology – Nortan new SYNCROCAP distributor can automatically adapt to different capsules to be processed, thus reducing changeover times up to 80% and imperfections due to human intervention.

Officially introduced on occasion of SIMEI 2019, SYNCROCAP has had such remarkable success as to be awarded the News Technology title at the Technology Innovation Award “Lucio Mastroberardino” SIMEI 2019.


In comparison with other standard capsule distributors, the new SYNCROCAP has represented a significant lead ahead for the whole sector: every component has been thoroughly re-conceived and re-designed around the following goals:

  • Process optimization
  • Higher reliability
  • Less and simplified maintenance
  • Reduction of changeover times down to the minimum for operators.


This new distribution system offers perfect operations, where mechanics and electronics are designed and combined as to create unique symbiosis: control, handling and setting are managed and controlled by servo drives able to self-adjust according to the type of capsule to be processes.


The major innovation is the separation and distribution group featuring fully electronic management and new proprietary mechatronics called F.E.D.S. Technology – Fully Electronic Distribution System.


This takes to shortened setting and changeover times by the operator by 80%, and to total elimination of errors and problems that may occur due to general adjustments.


In addition to this, thanks to a series of algorithms that feature all Nortan’s experience, the mechanic devices have been eliminated and replaced by the “Electronic Cam” concept that enables automatically adapt the timing and parameters of the various components to the type of capsule under process.


By reducing particulars by 40% and optimizing production processes, it has been possible to achieve considerably higher reliability.


This new system is totally future-oriented since it represents not only a further step forward in the era of industrial digitalization but also a real device that can be used in a work system with Industry 4.0 standard.
